thousands of single spider threads
between green grass-blades ---
a small sea of delicate waves
trembling in the softest breeze and
reflecting the warm October sun.
and I, having reclined long enough, now find
these tiny creatures have connected me
with impossibly thin threads, too.
if such small beings can do such great things,
what infinitely more can we do,
created in the Image and Likeness
of God?
